A true single-stroke engraving font, for laser cutters, pen plotters, Cricuts, 3D printers, CNC mills, etc.
I made this when I couldn't find any fonts that were truly single-stroke. Every font I found, no matter how thin it looked or what the author promised, was actually a multi-stroke closed shape when converted to outlines in Illustrator. That's a problem, because pen plotters and laser cutters will essentially draw two lines for every character, doubling fabrication time and potentially ruining the material from over-burning or over-inking.
This font has only been tested as working in recent versions of Adobe Illustrator (mine is 23.1.1) on macOS Catalina (10.15). You can give it a try in other programs, but it probably won't work. It uses the relatively new OpenType-SVG color font format, so most applications will render the typeface incorrectly (or not at all).
The originating open-source typeface was designed in 1967 by Dr. Allen Vincent Hershey. More typefaces to come!Download
